The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scripted history once again as the Chandrayaan-4 mission lifted off flawlessly from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota today.
The mission carries the Pragyan-2 rover, which is twice as capable as its predecessor and equipped with advanced drilling technology to analyze lunar soil samples up to 2 meters deep.
Scientists expect Chandrayaan-4 to land near the lunar south pole, where water ice deposits have been confirmed, potentially opening up possibilities for future crewed missions.
Prime Minister congratulated the ISRO team, calling it a proud moment for every Indian and proof that India is a leading space power.
